hi, my ipod touch 1st gen running 3.0 and jailbroken. lately the battery has been running low alot faster. it lost 50% in an hour and a half and half of that it was with the wifi off, and it was in lockmode in my pocket. i always run with the lowest brightness possible but i only get a few hours. what do you reccomend i do? should i take it to my local apple store and have it replaced or, buy a battery and do it myself or somthing else? please tell me what you think would be best! please help! my ipod is a big part of my life and i have to charge it at least twice daily now.

also, are there any things to worry about messing up if i decide to do it myself

Did you have the problem before your last restore?

Try a charge cycle, charge up to 100%, drain it till the device turns off and show the battery with the lightning bolt, then charge to 100% again.
