I've got a 16GB iPod Touch that is having major issues. It turns on, displays the apple logo, then the apple logo with a spinner and then after a little while, it restarts. It currently has 3.1.2 firmware loaded. When I plug it into the computer (tried both mac and pc) it syncs with iTunes with no errors. I have restored multiple times and have restored also with DFU mode. I've tried setting it up as a new iPod too and that doesn't change anything. I can jailbreak the thing and then get the pineapple logo instead of the apple logo. But it still endlessly reboots. I can restore it back to factory original with DFU mode in iTunes and iTunes says it is working fine, but no matter what I do, it starts to boot and then continually reboots. Here is a log file from iPhone Configuration Utility. http://pastebin.com/ma3f64a5 I'm willing to try about anything at this point. The iPod is out of warranty and getting Apple to replace it will cost almost as much as a new iPod.
