I've got a 16GB iPod Touch that is having major issues. It turns on, displays the apple logo, then the apple logo with a spinner and then after a little while, it restarts. It currently has 3.1.2 firmware loaded.

When I plug it into the computer (tried both mac and pc) it syncs with iTunes with no errors. I have restored multiple times and have restored also with DFU mode. I've tried setting it up as a new iPod too and that doesn't change anything.

I can jailbreak the thing and then get the pineapple logo instead of the apple logo. But it still endlessly reboots. I can restore it back to factory original with DFU mode in iTunes and iTunes says it is working fine, but no matter what I do, it starts to boot and then continually reboots.

Here is a log file from iPhone Configuration Utility.

I'm willing to try about anything at this point. The iPod is out of warranty and getting Apple to replace it will cost almost as much as a new iPod.

Yep, tried DFU multiple times. I thought that fixed about everything. I guess not.
