    Hey, I have never had a contract with internet usage before, so sorry if I sound like a bit of a noob.
    I ordered an iPhone today, and the contract includes 1GB internet usage, How much is this compared to site data (like ipodtouchfans) ? will it last long? Is it a decent amount of data a month?
    Cheers

    There are guides if you search it in Google - but when they say 1GB it usually comes with a 'fair usage policy'.

    Check Vodafones fair usage policy here in their terms and conditions:

    As I know your going to be on vodafone - I found that they quote this on their site:

    Mobile internet on iPhone;

    You can use up to 1GB each month when you go online with your iPhone. That's a lot of browsing. And you don't have to worry about going over your limit. From 1 June 2010, we'll text you before you reach 1GB and let you know your options.

    Mobile internet as part of your plan is only for use in the UK. Browse using your iPhone while you're abroad, and you'll pay our standard data roaming charges

    I also found an App that will help track your usage, but unsure about it;

    From my experience as you will use wifi when at home, 1GB is more than enough for daily browsing, emails and instant messaging as well as the occasional download/ update and a few youtube videos.

    Hope this is of some help
    Your good friend

    I had a look, but they only do 24 month contracts... which is too long for me
