    Hello,

I recently replaced the digitizer and bezel frame for my 1G Touch. The problem now is that the home button doesnt feel right. It feels like theres nothing behind it when pushed. Is there anything that needs to go between the home button contact and the motherboard contact?

I dont remember seeing anything. The home button feels solid, with no springiness like before I took the device apart. I've attached a picture of the problem area.

    Thanks

most important question. If it works, just leave it or find a springy material that you can cut very very small. Maybe a tiny air bubble.

Have a look at the iPod touch 1G teardown here. It may help.
