I installed the 1.1.3 firmware after a 1.1.2 jailbreak. Now I restored it and then upgraded. Now in my other category it shows I have 171 mb of something in the "other" category. Can someone explain this? Or is this a way of saying Jailbreak files are still there and apple can see them, you are screwed? Thanks.

I think it's all the stuff you've installed via Jailbreaking it, can anyone confirm that I'm right?
I'm on a 1.1.1. JB and in my iTunes it tells me i've got 333.7mb of Other.

Dunno, but that isn't much space if you're on a 16gb IPT.

You see I might send it in to apple for some problems with stuck pixels and I don't want to let them know I jailbroke it. Will they be able to see it?

    i think they can't.
    see faq
    9. Can I unjailbreak?

Yes, by restoring your iPod in iTunes. This means all applications you installed, all changes made to the underlying operating systems: everything will be gone. Neither man, nor software, nor god can then tell it apart from a just-out-of-the-box iPod. (Well, maybe they can, but with a lot of work nobody is going to do)

no, its appaerntly, thhat in 1.1.3 all of the extra apps avaliable to buy are actually on your ipod, but not just 'activated' yet. when you apy for mail... ,then they come up on the homescreen ,but i think that they are already on your ipod because it takes like 30secs when you buy the software uppgrade and then yoou have the apps. dont worry m8!
