i hope i can get it for 299 € (how rude to just get rid of the $ and add €) with a 49 euro plan including a dataflat but i have my doubts unfortunately considering it uses 3G now which is probably gonna cost more or extra

The 8GB Iphone is 199 and the 16Gb is 299, what else could he have been talking about. Also, is you're gonna curse, at least learn how to spell it correctly.

Edit: I was talking about the Iphone pricing, not what the OP said. I'll await your apology for screaming at me

you buy a plan on activation and when the iphone comes out that will probably be the case. And it probably will be unlockable

Of course the price is gonna be contingent on activation, why wouldn't it be? Why aren't people concentrating on the huge fact that the Iphone is cheap as hell now, that's the good news

Well, think of it this way...
The software updates cost money for the iPod Touch, but not the iPhone, right?

That's because AT&T and Apple make a profit from monthly payments of the iPhone, so why charge iPhone users more after they're already paying monthly just to have service on their iPhone?

The iPod Touch might remain $299 because iPod Touch users don't have to pay monthly.

    That's just my opinion.
After all, did anybody see the Wal-mart spottings of a sign saying there was going to be an iPod Touch 2nd Generation available?
The sign still said it was going to be $299 for an 8GB.

    I don't know.
But as far as I can see, the iPod Touch might still stay the same price.
