    The US website CLEARLY STATES:

    A 2-YEAR CONTRACT WITH AT&T IS REQUIRED.

    So the price is WITH contract.

    Btw if anyone has not noticed this is what it says on the apple website...

    USB power adapter
    Dock Connector to USB cable
    Documentation
    Cleaning/polishing cloth
    SIM ejector tool

    Why do they include a sim ejector tool ? :p

    how did u expect a iPhone to be 200 $ without contract if the iPod touch is already 200 $ of course its with a 2 years plan. I hope its still possible to get a dataflat for around 50 $

    I was thinking this... of course there will be a contract. And no doubt for us brits that $199 will magically avoid world currency conversion rates and turn out to be £150.

    theres nothing odd here. both iPhones and iPods were already overpriced, Apple finnally gave up and now that sounds like a more reasonable price
