Are you running 7.7 or 7.7.1???

7.7.1 Might have blocked it from working (not 100% sure about that though)

Do it on 7.7, it should work.

KNOW THAT I KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT TRY THIS!

    1. Reboot Your Computer
    2. uninstall winpwn and delete the folder it was in
    3. reboot again
    4. redownload newest pwnage tool or winpwn.
    5. reboot your computer
    6. remake the ipsw and repwn itunes.
    7. restore with a fresh clean 2.0 while in recovery mode
    8. After 2.0 was installed onto your device put into DFU
    9. then shift click and restore with custom ipsw you saved

HOW TO GET INTO RECOVERY MODE

    1. Hold Power Button and turn off device
    2. Keep holding until you see the apple logo.
    2. Remove the home button but keep holding power.
    4. iTunes will open and say "your ipod is in recovery mode and you need to restore"

    HOW TO GET INTO DFU

    1. Hold Power Button and turn off device
    2. Wait 5 seconds
    3. Hold Power + Home Button For 10 seconds
    4. Let go of power button but keep pressing the home button for 10 seconds
    5. itunes will open and say "your ipod is in recovery mode and you need to restore"

Your iPod should not show ANYTHING on the screen
If it shows the connect to itunes sign you did it wrong so just try again till you get it right.

AND VOILA ITS FIXED FOR MOST PEOPLE!
TELL ME IF THIS WORKS FOR BOTH YOU!

I've done everything you said before except reinstalling WinPwn
    I'll try that
if it still doesn't work, then I'll wait for WinPwn 2.5
