So I just found out there is a limit of 144 apps (9 homepages) on my iphone\ipod touch.

Is there *any* way to beat this? Any hack to change it? There are tons of free apps I want to try and I'd rather not have to remove/add everytime I want to try a couple.

And in long term, I can imagine how this limit would be ridiculous when more and more apps are out.

So you can claim that within the next one year or so, you won't have 144 icons on your iphone?
iPhone comes with 14 icons pre-installed. You add installer and cydia, you just filled 1 page.
Add games, apps, widgets and I don't see how you won't fill your 144 icons. It's not 144 apps, it's 144 icons. Widgets included.

Now I can understand not everyone will fill 9 pages within months but it's still a limitation. AppStore will NOT stop you of buying more then 144 games\apps yet, it won't let you see them all. I feel that's limitive and unacceptable

And just for a general feedback, I'm 29 years old chemical engineer. My yearly salary grants me the possibility to buy 0.99$ apps if I'm interested to.

You insulting someone who points out an obvious limitation in the iphone software kind of shows me you are the "kid" here.

But thanks for the support. I thought the "ipod touch tech help" was actually for tech help. I'm probably ignorant.

hah well i dont think your acctually going to have your ipod for A YEAR though.
ive had an ipod for a long time hacked 1.1.4 firmware and i had that one a LONG time and i only managed to fill up 5 pages. And i dont really think your going to fill it up with acctually 9 pages! you dont need all that sh*t you buy than

EDIT: sooner or later you will rejailbreak cause of some kind of new firmware or that your ipod gets SWOD and you cant get it unstuck and you will be forced to restore, filling up your pages is the last thing you need to worry about ;P
but if you really need all those apps and all those pages, you gotta have categories.
i dont know but if your good at coding you could port it to 2.0 just read the toolchain 2.0 which can be found in Cydia
