1403 Error when jailbreaking

    1403 Error when jailbreaking; what to do?

    Make sure you are in DFU mode (try again if you're not sure, most likely the problem), try pwning iTunes again, and make sure the firmware is usable (I.E. ~220 MB, nothing less that 210 or more than 250.)

    Error 1403 means the file doesn't exist. Mouse over the file after shift-clicking and see how big it is. If it says 0bytes then you need to re-download it. If redownloading it doesn't work you may need to use a download accelerator. Like gity said make sure you are in DFU mode.

    Enter DFU mode and try to restore or try another firmware.
