Well, the first step is getting a Mac. Learn Python or something easy before your start iPhone so you understand programming syntax and actually have some beforehand programming knowledge.

    Lol.

It's been said before, but you HAVE to have a Mac. Or a Hackintosh. And those books are good springboards.

@Shizerattack: Are you already in 7th grade? Basic middle/high school math (and logic) is pretty much required to make games.
Also make sure that you don't copy too much from tutorials, because that won't help you learn (douchebags on Cydia repeatedly making crappy tab-bar website apps and soundboards and calling it "coding" piss me off)
    Good luck

Would knowing up to algebra 1 be enough? I wanted to try my hand at programming too

I taught myself Geometry through Algebra 2, because I got in an argument with my Teacher over something he said about my girlfriend at the time. i switched to independent studies and I did Geometry- Algebra 2 in one year. Then when my health got bad, I dropped out and began learning Java, html, C, and all the basics. All you need is a book, computer, and some time.

Being a person that does not really wanna spend money on learning how to program could you recommend a few websites and tell me which language to start up on?
