Actually no you can add web pages to the home screen of the ipod,and you can be located with the google maps app just clicking locate me ohhh and in 1.1.3 we have a better version of summerboard and customize =P
Dude if you want to get the true power of the ipod just do an upgrade to 1.1.2 and then to 1.1.3 and you'll enjoy it. Ohh and if you think that upgrading is too complicated you' ll laugh when you have updated to 1.1.3 =D

i can confirm that cuztomize has backups for me...and summerboard works perfectly. the only thing that i have noticed that doesnt work is terminal. the SUID fixes dont work, as they are intended for 1.1.3. i haven't found an application that otherwise doesnt work. does anyone know of any possible ones that might not work? i can try them out.

nice thread. But I can't see the advantage of better clearer volume. The iPod touch is already very very loud for an iPod, but I just buy some really good headphones like shure or Bose headphones. They make the sound

Now that 1.1.4 is out how do I get to 1.1.3 with my 8GB JB 1.1.2? I really like the 1.1.2, it gets it done, but perhaps the additional features of 1.1.3 would be nice. I always seem to lag one generation behind. Using ZiPhone is probably the best way, but now that I've waited so long, where is 1.1.3? Rather than upgrade, can I restore to it? I just reread this.....man I sound confused!

Ummm, well there's one notable difference I heard of. I don't have 1.1.4 on my iPoT, but the guy told me, that when you click on a youtube link, it'll play directly in your browser. As a thumbnail that is, so when you click it, you will be transported to your youtube.app.

Anyone who checked that?

Thats weird mine does that now in 1.1.2.....
