Hi, I have (another) problem. Yesterday I wanted to change my root password in terminal by using passwd command. And after restarting iPod I saw it´s broken and every 10 sec restarting Springboard. Today I found out that it´s common problem, because passwd on 1.1.4 is broken. I also know, that I have to copy these 2 files - /etc/passwd and /etc/master.passwd to my iPod to change password to normal. But I have a problem with it because my WiFI is turned off (and I cant turn it on because Springboard is quickly restarting) and USB connection doesnt work at all (Totan Commander Plugin, even iTunes doesnt see any iPod).

Do you have any idea how to fix it ? (I want to avoid restore)

Now I have WiFi and SSH on, but iPod doesn´t connect to WiFi because of restarting springboard.

Is there any way how to transfer files through USB in recovery mode ?

    EDIT: restored

Not sure, but I think you can use Ziphone to kick the ipod out of recovery mode, and then
use iPod Browser to place the files. Not sure if you'd have to set permissions though...
