I was Shift+Click restoring to my 2.0 backup but after the 'Preparing for restore...' was gone, I got an error.
Now when I turn on my iTouch, the 'Connect to iTunes' image appears.
I tried going into DFU, but iTunes doesn't detect my iPod.
I get the Windows hardware installation pop-up, but no sign from iTunes.
    I'm running XP with SP3.
    iTunes 8.0.2

Is there a way to unbrick it ?

Go to actual DFU mode and then BUY the update!

Hold power and home button for ten secs, let go of power and continue to hold the home button until itunes recognizes it.

I did it but nothing shows up. I have my 5th gen iPod Video plugged in and it's detected in iTunes.
Unfortunately, the Touch won't show up on the list.
