Hey guys, I just bought an 8gb Touch today and jailbroke it using this: http://www.ifans.com/forums/showthread.php?t=34376&highlight=1.1.3 install error tutorial. Mine already came with the new apps since it shipped with 1.1.3 software, and it already had the wiggle function, and when the apps were wiggling, I would be able to tap an "X" on an icon to delete that app.

After jailbreaking the iPod and getting it back to 1.1.3, however, the wiggle part works, but the "X" does not appear when I select an app that I want to delete. Any suggestions on how I can get that function back?

    Cheers!

The little "X" is for deleting WEBCLIPS.

To delete apps, you have to uninstall through Installer.app.

You cannot delete the Factory apps that came with your iPod. IE Calculator, Settings, Safari etc.

so my ebay app and paypal app that I got from the app store should not be available to delete via the wiggle technique? cuz i'm having the same problem, I used to be able to wiggle to delete app store and cydia apps (with cydelete the wiggle gave the lil x) now I get no x's whatsoever which really sucks now cuz i have iBlank spots and no way to get rid of them....i could before.... but somewhere in my day yesterday somthing happened and now I can't delete anything except 3rd party apps using the uninstall from cydia. Plz help me, or help me understand.... cuz i swear I could delete these before and now I can't. So its now like if I get an app from the app store, I can NEVER delete it.

Now i know how to fix that issue on my iPhone
i was so worried abt and thought will never b able
to remove any App again but a frind gave me the answer
    so here's the process..

1.- Go ahead and open Suprime Preferences
    2.- then select Mobile Substrate
3.- Once you are there, will b able to see Hide Icon Lables and Prevent App Delete so go and select them, then.. select Respring!!
4.- Once you did so, will b able to see that any of you apps have their names and they still weggle without the "X" so you have to go back to Suprime Preferences, then Mobile Substrate and unselect "Hide Icon Lables and Prevent App Delete".. Go n' Respring AGAIN..

    THAT'S IT, ISSUE RESOLVD!!
