I think there may be a way to Jailbreak 1.1.3 Firmware. Okay. Many of us know about the Touch Free Jailbreak Process. Maybe some people can study what Apple changed and create a new version. I have a feeling that Apple didn't change anything. We might be able to Jailbreak like this: Have iPod Touch Jailbroken at 1.1.2, Install Oktoprep, upgrade to 1.1.3, use Touch Free Jailbreak. I don't want to try it and its impossible to get in contact with iPod Touch Master. Anyone willing to try? For more info on where to get Oktoprep and the Touch Free Jailbreak, watch iPod Touch Master's video here.

I'm pretty sure that Erica at TUAW already tried this.....didn't work.

in random threads here and there on the forum it has been said

plus it's just common sense you can't do it because apple did change encryption and not every firmware is going to be jailbroken the same way, i.e. OKTOPREP which was a fix for 1.1.2 jailbreaking

Also, the firmware upgrade part of 1.1.3 is not a firmware upgrade, as iTunes may claim. It's actually a firmware re-write, thus destroying OkToPrep's changes.

It's very scary that Apple is getting increasingly smarter for these updates each update they role out. I guess that's what you get from the greatest technology industry in the world.

would it be possible to use a jailbroken 1.1.2 to make a partition that itunes cant detect when updating to 1.1.3. By doing this it is possible to use cuteftp to access system files and so edit the necesary files ?
