Download the attached .zip, and drop the Info.plist into /Applications/MobileMusicPlayer.app

Overwrite the one that is there, respring, and you will have just the iPod app.

Heres an icon I made for iPod.app

You can just drop this into the same folder as before and respring.

Thank you very much. This works great.

Is there any way to make it so that when you double-click the home button it says iPod, instead of Music?

You can make the text say iPod, but to make actually take you to the iPod app, you have to enable something in the N45AP.plist. And then if you do this, when you are not playing music and you double click the home button, it will take you directly to the iPod app, without showing you that little popup. So yes and no.

But to make it say iPod, download the attached file and drop it into /System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app/English.lproj and overwrite the file there. This is file has all the other default strings so if you've changed them with Customize this file will change them back to original.

Ok, thanks that worked, but how do you edit the plist to make it take you to the iPod?

Thanks, but I didn't realize it would take you to the iPhone favorites if you weren't listening to music, so I'm not going to use it.

Hey i downloaded the app and now when I try to use customize to rearrange and have 5 icons it just crashes when I go to change the icon order. So does anyone have a file for the original info.plist that I can use to reinstall the regular music & video icons?
