Apparently, I'm doing it wrong. Or something.

I followed the sticky's guide to downgrading, yet I'm still getting "The iPod "iPod" could not be restored/Unknown Error (1)."

Following the sticky's (read the entire thread, everyone's doing the same thing) instructions, right now my iPod is sitting in restore mode and iTunes will not allow me to downgrade.

Running iTunes 7.5 on lolvista if that's of any use.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, I miss not being locked down.

Well, from what I gather, he may be typing it in wrong.

    filecopytophone WTF.s5l8900xall.RELEASE.dfu
    ^ Thats a lower case L

When you go through it the first time, type in the following:

    filecopytophone WTF.s5l8900xall.RELEASE.dfu
Again, lowercase L, but ^ put those in as capitol O's. When you press enter afterwards, you will get the : 11.... Then go through it again, and type it on with the lowecase L and 2 Zero's. It should work this time. Thats what I did, and it worked.
