    I can't find this problem recorded anywhere so I'm hoping someone can help.

    I'm using a mac with iTunes 7.5 and unlocking a new iPod Touch. A few hours ago I managed to jailbreak the thing all the way to 1.1.2 and was doing the official DevTeam 1.1.3 JB which failed but that was my own fault. My iPod went into recovery mode and I started over.I restore 1.1.1, jailbreak, update to 1.1.2 and then I get a problem.... jailbreak.rar hangs on 'Reading Flash image'. So I thought I did something wrong as this process worked perfectly the first time round and I'm using all the same files, same iTunes, etc. So I went back to scratch and restored to 1.1.1 again and went through the steps. I've done it from scratch about 3 or 4 times now and it's hanging every time in the same place.

    Can anyone please help with this?

    @miendo

    I'm not sure you have the same problem... you should be using iTunes 7.5.
    iTunes 7.6 disables OktoPrep and then jailbreak.jar won't work, as I understand it. You'll need to get back to iTunes version 7.5 or use another computer with 7.5 on it if you want to have any success. There's plenty of info around the forums about downgrading from itunes 7.6 to 7.5 so start there.

    jailbreak hangs

    I'm having this exact problem and have been searching for hours, this isnt the first time ive jailbreaked 1.1.2, last time it worked fine. I've tried too many times to count on 3 different computers, with itunes 7.5 and 7.4. I restored to 1.1.1 jailbroke then installed oktoprep then was sure to press upgrade and choose 1.1.2. Everytime it stops at "12582912/314572800" while reading flash. I dont know what else to try

    Okay, I've downgraded to iTunes 7.5, followed the procedure carefully (it's not my first jailbreak and the others went fine)... and I still have the same problem.

    Here is the jailbreak log:

    And it hangs.
    Nothing happens from there.
    Always at this point, not before, not after.

    What happens???

    *** Update: the "tmp64843.exe" process keeps on growing. After 30 minutes eats 350 Mb of memory and constantly uses about 50% of the CPU.

    Just close all iTunes processes, and all be ok.
