im on the same boat as u been on 1.1.1 since day one

well u can go to 1.1.3 with 1.1.1 using i brickr but i wouldnt reccomend it cuz its ment for iphones and ur ipod mite be recognized as an iphone which i dnt like and its not the best method theres some bugs.

although the other newer methods require 1.1.2 such as ipodtouchmaster
his videos always work so i suggest u go to 1.1.2 im going to do that tomorrow

and u need a jailbroken 1.1.1 so dont restore unless u want to re jailbreak 1.1.1 and start from there

u need to go to 1.1.2 then u need to back up apps just ssh into ipod and back up application folder

u need BSD Subsystem 1.5 or greater, and OpenSSH, connected to Wi-Fi.
Also, be plugged into some kind of power source, Make sure you have lots of free space on your iPod

and somin else i think juss search it i forget

ummmm ya ipod touchmasters newest automatic way of jb of 1.1.3 is using isntaller watch his videos

hope this helped and double check my info just in case

1:it DOSE NOT recognize your itouch as an iphone but yes many bugs so far
2:Ya i would say to go to 1.1.2 before you can try it with 1.1.1 ibrickr does sound like a bad name for this
3:No need to restore just upgrade to 1.1.2
    4:Look at my signature
5:Just like he said go to youtube and watch his movies got me to 1.1.2 took longer tho
6:although ive attempted this i would trust ibrickr JUST yet mabe in a few days/weeks until some/many things will be fixed
