I got my 1st gen touch replaced at apple yesterday, and i resotored the new one from my old backup...fine...until i wanted to sync my apps. I get the 0xE800002E error for every single one!

    What do i do?

    Cheers!

P.S Don't say "search in future" or point me to google. I've tried all that, not working...

EDIT: I think i've sorted it...I had to restore, then sync apps followed by restore from backup, not the other way round...

Well that is the error you get when you don't have a file that rhymes with Schmobile Schminstallation and try to sync schmacked schmapps.
