It needs a ramdisk or something for a full jailbreak.

how is this a fail this is a serious question... you fail for putting that up (dick)...
It needs a ramdisk or something for a full jailbreak- redsn0w said the only problem is the sig check

too bad you cant say fail anymore. Because I would have said failed.

Redsnow = I-phone dev's version of the exploit

Own boot = Chronic dev teams version of the exploit.

Both are the same, using arm7. Chronic coded his, and dev coded theirs. but its the same thing, so you can not use them both at once.

its the same method to run unsigned code.

then why does his google code clearly state- This is useful for any developers out there because it patches signature check, range check, permissions check, and more.

if the only problem with redsn0w is sig check, this should cover it... unless if chronic is lieing lol

No, no, no. They put out ownboot because it was leaked out somehow.

Any DEV can use ownboot to search for an exploit in the LLB. He released in hopes someone would find the missing link to get an untethered jailbreak.

Iphone dev and chronic dev are at the same stage in the jailbreak. So combining what both teams already know would make no difference.

no, no, no. They put out ownboot purposely becuase they want to see if anyone can help, it wasnt an accident.

so it doesnt pass the sig check like he says it does?...

I should have reworded that statement. Ownboot was leaked out, then chronic released it to the public, to see if any DEV could find an exploit in the LLB.

The Program redsnow, and ownboot allow unsigned code. They use these programs I believe to look through the LLB.

Both Dev teams need to look through the LLB for another exploit so the jailbreak can be permanent.

Ownboot and Redsnow pass sig checks expect for the LLB.
