      Oh knowledgeable one, I was wondering if you could help me with something wit my iPad 1. Anyway I am trying to update it but my computer will not acknowledge it being connected. I tried putting it in dfu and it switched on when I plugged it in but still won't come up in iTunes or My Computer.

        I tried recovery mode and dfu by your tutorial and itunes didnt show it at all, it didnt even come up as unknown in device manager. I guess its screwed.

        It's not. You must be doing something wrong. Can you try another computer and have you removed and re-installed what I told you before?
