So, you've tried: - DFU Restoring to a 4.1 firmware file, AND a 5.0.1 firmware file with no 3rd party software involved - using sn0wbreeze to make both 4.1 custom firmware files AND 5.0.1 custom firmware files and restoring
yes man ive tried like a hundred times, restoring with the 5.0.1 and switching to 4.1 etc it starts but without wifi doesnt downgrade
no no no man i didnt mean it like that i do believe that you unbricked it , what i meant its that perhaps on a few chips can work, im kind of sad cause its just new and i sold my old mobile and right now i dont have anything hehe i wish i could downgrade it :/
Have you tried both the 4.1 firmware file and the 5.0.1 firmware file? To be honest, I forgot which one worked. It worked for me, I don't know why you keep doubting me. If you want to put it in the oven, go right ahead, I'm just trying to help.
I have an idea. Follow the same steps, with a 5.0.1 firmware file. Do it. Fresh restart, and all that. Do it. I think that might actually be what I did.
Don't do that. Since you have it alive, do the hosts file and a regular restore again. Restore to a stock file. No TSS Server. No TinyUmbrella open, with the hosts file erased and hosts.umbrella delted on a fresh restart. Make sure you start the restore from within DFU mode.
I mean, it's worth a shot. It sounds, to me, like it might work. And I'm almost positive that "-1" is Apple's last ditch effort to stop you from downgrading your baseband.
With the restore(s) you've tried earlier, the baseband should be downgraded successfully, however, your iPhone is just on like a "last ditch" effort to prevent you from being successful in doing so. Download sn0wbreeze 2.1, make a custom 4.1 firmware file. Follow the original instructions to a tee, using the custom 4.1 firmware file. However, before you [SHIFT] + Restore in iTunes, make sure your iPhone is in a "pwned" DFU state, which will be included throughout sn0wbreeze's steps.
