First off, welcome to the site! http://www.ifans.com/forums/showthread.php?t=346864 I posted an explanation of how it works. Basically, to use Wi-Fi, you can't just be "given" the information for one, there has to be an actual wireless router connected to an internet source somewhere near you.
You must be young. The wifi network has to be in your home. You should have the wifi password, or your parents. You can't be given a wifi.
