That really sucks. The iPod touch is still great even without Internet. I had mine for almost a year before I finally got wifi.
oh wow... Well you dont have to leave this site just because you dont have an iPod. Many people on this site dont have any Apple device. Why is he returning it?
There are 3048.0000000029017cm in 100 ft. A $30-50 would be decent but not great. It depends on your house size. If $30-50 is your budget then I would say get this roughter. It is much better
It will only be avalable within a certain distance from your home. So for example if you get a roughter and it has a 100ft signal distance then it will only work within 100ft of the roghter. It will not work when you leave your home to go somewhere else. It is not like a cell phone signal where it will stay connected no matter where you are.
It should come with one. If for some crazy reason it doesn't, you can pick one up on amazon.com for a few bucks. http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=ethernet+cable&x=0&y=0 Get the cheapest one you can - besides for length, they're all the same, so don't listen to the marketing feats.
Glad I could help! And yep, the router is all you need. And I just left a post on the thread explaining how to connect a router - it's actually pretty simple.
Yep, that's the device that links to your computer and delivering the internet service. Just connect a router to it and you'll have a Wi-Fi signal. :)
Do you already have a router? Well anyways, here's how one works: You have an internet connection in your house and it's connected to your computer through a cable called an ethernet cable. You probably have some sort of box or device that connects to your computer through that cable. A wireless router comes with an ethernet cable. This cable allows you to connect the router to the internet box/device. It takes that internet service and turns it into a wireless signal, which forms a wireless network - also known as Wi-Fi. As for how to fix one, I really don't know. To be honest, I don't see how one could be broken. It may, however, need to be reset (there's usually a small button on the router to reset it). That router you linked to looks good, and should work with any computer.
Yeah, and if you need a router, they can be pretty cheap these days. The "G" routers are cheaper, but the "N" routers are faster.
