Sorry...I'm not constantly refreshing my youtube page. Um I use the Hauppauge 1212 HDPVR, as you can see it records in 720p, only goes through component cables. Runs at about $200 :\ but it's really nifty. The non-HD alternative is the Dazzle, runs at about $60 I think (if you're on a Mac you can either find some software work-arounds or dish out $100 for the Mac-specific model) but if you're looking to eventually be on Machinima, you'll need an HDPVR. My mic is a Blue Snowball USB Mic, I love it it looks nice it sounds great. Retails at $80 and is compatible with Mac and Windows (and probably Linux too). Of course I think any mic you have on hand will work. As for software, I'm on a Mac. I use EyeTV for the actual recording, then I export that in .mp4 format and import it to iMovie, where I reduce the game audio and add the voiceover, and then I export it from there and upload to youtube. For windows a lot of people use Sony Vegas or Pinnacle Studios.
holy crap, luckily i didn't order from apple then. 1-2 months is insane, but i always order everything from amazon.com since its the fastest shipment ;) 2-3 weeks from the US to holland is actually okay but still long :D
