Yes indeed PowerVr Rogue series is coming next year with ST Ericcson being one of the licenses, for its upcoming SoC

Exactly my thoughts i personally don't see the point of these souped up graphics chips, games devs are just starting to push the SGX535. But i guess the SGX543 on A5 will remain relevant for at least 2 years so thats good

ahhh or do they man 3200 Megapixels/sec which would be 3.2GPixel/s right?

Wait.. im confused by samsung stats
They say 3200Million pixels a sec

      Its a single SGX543 1 GPixel/s doesn't that translate to 1 billion pixels a second?

The 6490M in the low end 15" MBP is a step back from the GT 330M. It brings it back to 9600M GT levels. Do you have any idea on why they would do that? They could have gone with a 6550 which is much faster, even more than a 330M, but uses much less power.

I'm impressed by the addition of quad core i7s and the 6750M though. They've really outdone themselves in the hardware sector this time around.

Maybe, but he didn't even have Firefox  so adblock was a no go
and i would go through this game pages, full of flash games (and ads lol), i think that should be intensive enough. The only thing that was lagging was his internet connection :/

Don't get me wrong im no defending flash, im all for technology moving on, but i never really experienced slow downs or lock ups on his PC

Though i never tried 1080P flash videos ;) cause you now his internet connection is not up to the task

Great to hear that, perhaps on Gingerbread or the next android version for phones thinks will get even better

About flash i never had problems with it on my friends aging Intel quad core 2.4Ghz with a GTX 460 and 3GB of ddr2. I usually play around with his computer for hours surfing the web and what not. The whole experience is very smooth he is running W7 btw

I never noticed any slow dons caused by flash on his PC, is flash multicore optimized or something?

I've found Flash to be crap on every platform even with GPU acceleration. I have a quad core CPU and a very powerful nVidia GPU yet 1080P YouTube videos are always laggy for me. I've tried different browsers, nVidia drivers, updating flash, and different OSes like Linux...And it still lags. My internet connection is fine as well.

Isn't there a way to bypass this CPU limitation on OSX?

You told me some time before about the flash codecs with GPu acceleration, is there an explanation why the remaining codecs are/cant be gpu accelerated. if NV was able to develop some flash animations/games with GPU acceleration to showcase then wouldn't it be a matter of coding thinking about the gpu and dedicating more time in developing these games to have them all hardware accelerated?
