Simply known as “Sentry” in the iOS jailbreak community, this man has brought us countless design ideas that we hope will inspire Apple’s own and will have some kind of impact on what we see in future iterations of iOS. Lately we’ve been seeing many mutlitasking concepts come from this all-too-creative guy via his YouTube channel, and today he has uploaded yet another. Check out the video above and let us know what you think in the comments!
Famous for jailbreak tweak Auxo (our review) and countless other iOS concepts is developer “Sentry.” He today uploaded a video on YouTube, showing off a new app switcher concept that he “was pondering the other day.” It looks quite interesting to me, and it sure beats Auxo in that it provides most of the same functionality (showing the current screen of currently opened apps) but does so in a much more streamlined manner.
This is yet another amazing idea coming from this unique and creative jailbreak dev. If he can bring Auxo to reality, and plans to also bring this iTunes MiniPlayer, why wouldn’t he also be able to accomplish this? I know for sure that I would dish out $5-10 for such a feature. If this tweak comes to fruition, would you purchase it?
From the developer of famous jailbreak tweak Auxo comes a new concept video — this time of a clever iTunes MiniPlayer tweak that is purportedly “coming soon.” Known on as “Sentry” in the jailbreak community, this developer is also responsible for some of the most popular iOS concept videos on YouTube.
I encourage you to watch the video (after the break) for yourself, but the idea is essentially a widget-like interface that you can pull out from the side of your device to gain access to a simple iTunes controller not unlike the mini player we all know and love from iTunes.
According to the video description, the tweak is not only a concept, but a work in progress. Sentry is working with @Sirifl0w and @SmartviperE75 to release the tweak on iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch “soon.” (more…)
