With more than 250 million players across 200 countries, soccer — also known as football or futbol — is by far the world’s most popular sport. That inspired Dream Apps Lab to create Tricky Shot, a free pick-up-and-play freestyle soccer game on the App Store. The game, designed for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch, involves flicking a soccer ball at various targets throughout more than 50 challenging levels: lockers, tires, pylons, shopping carts, trucks, balloons and so on.

Before I go any further, Tricky Shots is seriously addictive. I’m already immersed in hours of gameplay, trying to juggle and flick the three-dimensional soccer ball towards targets throughout levels that get progressively harder. If you lose patience while attempting to complete a particular challenge, a Golden Ball is available as an in-app purchase for 99 cents, which removes in-game ads and allows you to skip levels at any time.  (more…)

Space Settlers is an free online multiplayer sci-fi game that involves mecha combat and real-time strategy to complete. In the game, you must work to build your base in the First Space Settler Age, with the option to play alongside others by using the in-game chat console or joining a legion. Catch the Cubies: A Hidden Gem on the App Store

Catch the CubiesCatch the Cubies by Arcticmill is the latest puzzle game to launch on the App Store, guaranteed to alleviate your boredom with its fast pace and highly addictive gameplay. How many Cubies can you catch with the swipe of your finger?

Catch the Cubies is the most addictive arcade game in its genre that you will ever play. It doesn’t matter if you’re competing with yourself or with Facebook friends, as this game is truly fun no matter what.

When I first started playing this game, it reminded me of the popular Bejeweled tile-matching franchise. Catch the Cubies is quite different, however, as you can match three or more colored cubes together in any different direction. The only requirement is that the cubes are all touching in the sequence. You can easily come up with creative ways to match cubes together, and Catch the Cubies will reward you with additional points and boosts.
