iKit NuCharge: Easy On-the-Go Charge Case for iPhone 5

Photo Mar 04, 6 24 35 PM

It’s not often that we at iFans get to review a product before it’s officially released. The iKit NuCharge is one of those exceptions, and it’s undergoing Kickstarter funding as we speak. Is this battery case something you might want to go check out? Read on and I’ll tell you. (more…)

Review: Real Racing 3

Electronic Arts | 1.8 GB | FREE

Simulation racing games are special because they really don’t run cross-platform. The Xbox has had Forza Motorsport. The Playstation has always had Gran Turismo. Nintendo has… Um… And of course, iOS has always had Real Racing to be their simulation racer. Real Racing 3 promises two main features over its predecessor, real tracks, and time delayed multiplayer action. Besides that, is it really worth the trouble?   (more…)

Cygnett: A Purveyor of Designer iPhone and iPad Cases and Accessories

Cygnett iPhone 5

When I attended International CES at the beginning of this year, I was enthused by accessory maker Cygnett, based out of Melbourne, Australia. The company, like many others of it kind, makes cases and other accessories for iPhone, iPad, iPod touch and select Android smartphones and tablets.

But an interesting fact about Cygnett is that it partners with highly-regarded designers throughout the world to make premium and stylish products. Take a look inside as we go hands-on with a number of Cygnett cases for the iPhone 5, iPad, iPad mini and fifth-generation iPod touch. (more…)

Review: Speck CandyShell

Speck | Case | $ 34.95

Speck is probably one of the more respected case companies out there. Their line of cases have been known for their attractive designs that not only look great, but feel great in your hand. Additionally, their cases tend to do a good job protecting the devices that rest within. The Speck CandyShell keeps all of these ideas in mind to protect the iPod within.   (more…)

Accessory Review: iGlaze Touch G5 by Moshi

Moshi | Case | $ 20.00

In the past, I’ve reviewed many Moshi products. However, they have always been audio products, more specifically headphones. Moshi had a great line of headphones, and their line of cases seems to be no different. The iGlaze Touch G5 is Moshi’s only case for the iPod Touch. It’s a thinshell minimalistic case with a hint of detail to it.   (more…)

Review: NuForce S3-BT

NuForce | Speakers | $299.00

NuForce has always been a company to watch for in the audio scene. They produce many goods include amps, dacs, speakers, headphones, and even IEMs. The S3-BT are, like their name suggests, wireless Bluetooth speakers. They come in a pair and make a good pair of bookshelf speakers if I don’t say so myself; they make an excellent set of wireless speakers.   (more…)

Sensu: The Paintbrush Stylus

2013-02-14 17_02_49-Sensu Brush - Portable Artist Brush & Stylus for Touchscreen Devices

I don’t know too many iOS artists, but there’s no doubt that they exist; some have produced some very high quality work. But what stylus (if any) do they use to create such magnificent artwork? I wouldn’t be able to tell you, but the Sensu brush would be a pretty good option.

I’ve never been a big stylus fan, but when I received the Sensu brush stylus in the mail, I found myself dumbfounded at its originality. It only makes sense that artists who want to “paint” on iOS use a stylus that might as well be a paintbrush. I don’t find myself very often interested in such artistic endeavors, but that doesn’t take away from the product itself. (more…)

Bluelounge Messenger Bag: Perfect Fit for Your Laptop

Photo Feb 06, 1 43 19 PM

It’s that time again, for another one of my casual, unorganized product reviews. This time, I present to you the Messenger Bag from design studio Bluelounge. For review purposes, I was provided with the rust-colored model in the small variation. The bag is available, however, in “Black” and “Rust,” and in “Large” and “Small” sizes.

Bluelounge produces extremely high quality products, and I know I’ve said this before about JAYS’ headphones, but this company is definitely “Apple-esque” as well. If Apple made bags and various other iOS device accessories, this is what they would look like. That’s something that I think Bluelounge should take pride in. (more…)

Perfect-Sound Dido [Review]

Perfect-Sound | Over-Ear Headphone | $ 780.00

The merger of style, sound, an luxury come together into one single product. The product offers a beautiful styling that is striking while the sound remains warm and intricate. As string as the design, however, is the price that these come in at. Despite all that, these still remain a very strong headphone; they just don’t seem to focus on the bang for the buck. (more…)
