SOL REPUBLIC | Over-Ear Headphones | $ 199.99

SOL REPUBLIC has really shown in the past that they can produce a pair of headphones that looks stylish and sounds great at the same time. Their Tracks Ultra were a testament to that. SOL REPUBLIC, however, has yet to expand to something larger than on-ear headphones. That is, until now, as they release the new Master Tracks Headphones.  (more…)

Review: NuForce NE-700M

NuForce | In-Ear Monitors | $ 69.00

Klipsche is to S4 as NuForce is to ____. The answer to this is the NE-700M. NuForce has seen lots of success in their NE-700Ms in the past, and their decision to upgrade the model is, in my opinion, a good one. From memory, the new NE-700M proves to have slight improvements sonically while the aesthetics have been changed to the matte side. Build has gone up a bit as well. The new NuForce NE-700 Mdoes prove to be an upgrade to the old one.  (more…)

Review: Meze 66 Classics

Meze | On-Ear Headphones | $ 199

Wood is a material that has been loved by many. Whether it’s the properties that make it essential to life, or it’s artistic properties. To an audio enthusiast, it’s the ability of Wood to create natural resonances. OK, the beautiful wood-tone designs also have something to do with it too. Meze is a company that takes both of these properties of wood, and takes total advantage of them. Their mid-tiered 66 Classics is a nice example of that.   (more…)

Review: Photoshop Touch

Adobe | 35 MB | $ 4.99

Photoshop has always been a very powerful tool for just about any photographer anywhere. Although there are some strong alternatives to the multi-hundred dollar Adobe creation, none of them never really stood out as a true replacement for me. Adobe had already had a Photoshop Express available for the iPhone for quite a while now. However, a true Photoshop app hasn’t hit the store. That is, until recently.   (more…)

It seems like many companies that manufacture various audio equipment, from amps, to speakers, or IEMs have decided to take their first steps into the headphone business.
