Cinemax | 16.5 MB | $ 0.99

The Olympics have wrapped up. Despite Bolt and the Jamacians dominating in the 200, and Bolt’s gold in the 100, the US went one and two in the Decathlon (Decath). Retro Decathlon 2012 puts an 8-bit spin on the grueling event that is actually 10 events long spanning over 2 days. Can you beat Eaton’s records? Or go further and destroy world records?  (more…)

PourHadi | 27.1 MB | $ 2.99

iOS has always had a crippled music player, and technically it still does. Although some major overhauls on the look of the player have been done, it’s still not where it needs to be. OnCue attempts to remedy this with a player that uses the fundamentals of a queue to alleviate the problem.   (more…)

Application Review: Solar

[IMG]Hollr, Inc | 2.1 MB | $ 0.99*
With iOS 6, the weather app was revamped with a new look. However, the interface hasn’t changed a bit. Solar is a weather app that aims to intuitively show users the weather in such a beautiful, yet simplistic, style. It offers the minimum of features, its Achilles. However, the intuitive design of the app really makes up for it.  (more…)

Swap items in a grid. Line up three or more. This idea has been used since the dawn of time; however, each game seems to want to have their own twist to it. The original was Bejeweled that made it popular. Now it seems everyone is doing their own revision. Application Review: Google Chrome

Google is well known for many things: Maps, Android, Play… Well, none of these things are available on iOS as of the 6.0 release anyways (enjoy Google’s Maps while you still can). For the longest time, Safari has reigned as the browser for iOS. Well, recently, Google announced something else that wasn’t available to iOS… Chrome, for iOS. Does it have what it takes to overtake Safari as the browser to go to on iOS, or is it just another flop up? (more…)

Application Review: HD 4Cast2

With the introduction of iOS, many updates were announced… Some huge like Maps, some small like VIP (which I don’t get). However, many were not announced, actually, over 190 weren’t announced publically. Opening up the new Weather app gives a beautiful new UI for users. However, the Weather is still crippled in one way, features. We have seen many apps try to outdo what Weather can do, but none have come close to having the simplistic interfacing with the features packed together. HD 4Cast2 tries to fix this.  Read on for the full review: (more…)

Application Review: Any.DO

Apple’s Reminders has been put under some fire lately with all the new tasks apps that out simplify it. My most recent reviewed tasks app, Clear, proved to have the interface, but lacked the features, let alone the price. Well, Any.DO, another minimalistic tasks app takes the challenge of creating a todo app that will outdo Reminders while keeping the same simplistic styles of Clear but have the same price tag as Reminders. (more…)
