Application Review: Angry Birds: Star Wars

Angry Birds has really hit a life of its own. It has far extended out of the original iOS game. It has T-shirt lines, toy lines; it’s even sold as Halloween costumes now. New installments for Angry Birds seems to be a dime a dozen nowadays. Recently Rovio announced that they would take Angry Birds and give it a Star Wars twist. As the game remains the same, the powers switch up.  (more…)

Application Review: Need for Speed: Most Wanted

[IMG]Electronic Arts | 1.7 GB | $ 6.99

Last year, Electronic Arts published Need for Speed: Shift 2 Unleashed. This game, although it didn’t have the crispest of graphics, still impressed me with its track-focused racing. This year, NFS decided to go back to the cop-dodging ways. And with that, Most Wanted was brought back.  (more…)

Application Review: Little Masters

[IMG]Riida.com | 5.1 MB | FREE

It was regarded to be the Pokémon clone. It was said that Nintendo would have it taken down quickly after release. It was said… It was said. At first glance, the game does seem to take many roots from our beloved Pokémon that have become overpopulated (remember the original 150?). Other than the battle system and artistry though, they share nothing in common.   (more…)

Application Review: Racing Legends

[IMG]NUOxygen | 78.1 MB | $ 2.99

As a kid, you dream of driving one. As an adult, you respect the driver himself. Inside the c*ckpit, you’re scared to death. This is an F1 car. Today’s F1 racers didn’t just come out of the blue though; rather, they have undergone decades of improvements. It’s not just a bigger engine either, or even faster one for that matter. The aerodynamics of the car has been improved that at top speed, it can drive upside down in a tunnel. Think of the downforce.   (more…)

Application Review: Cue

When WebOS was released, I became really excited as it became the first real step against the iOS platform. It did something that Android didn’t, innovate. It took a design cues from Apple, make something that just works. Well, Cue comes in to attempt to be the ultimate synergy for your iOS platform. WebOS has been long gone, but this feature has been one of my favorites. Taking what you had for the day and prepping everything for you. Cue is not this, but it attempts to meet halfway.  (more…)
