We told you about Ayeris for iPhone and iPod touch less than a month ago, but Surenix isn’t stopping. His beautiful new theme for iOS 7, which made a splash with its original remakes of standard iOS 7 icons, is now available for iPad. Many argued that the original version didn’t deliver for its price, but if you’ve already purchased the iPhone and iPod touch version, grabbing Ayeris for iPad might be worth it. (more…)
GridSwitcher is a brand new jailbreak tweak that aims to improve the multitasking experience on iPhone, iPad and iPod touch by displaying each app in a card-based grid. It is a plug and play extension that works right after installing it from Cydia, where it can be found under the default BigBoss repository… (more…)
If you’re jailbroken and don’t want to update to iOS 7.0.6 — even though it can be jailbroken — Ryan Petrich has you covered. The enterprising developer has released SSLPatch, a tweak that can be found on his repo (http://rpetri.ch/repo/). The tweak is completely free, and everyone that hasn’t updated should grab it. Why? Because that SSL bug is horrible.
Bailey Seymour has submitted UIColors, a way to tweak the various UI elements of iOS 7, to Cydia. Seymour has tweeted various screenshots of what his tweak accomplishes, and it seems likely that the tweak will be very useful for anyone wishing to quickly customize the look and feel of their device. With iOS 7, such color tweaks look more interesting, thanks to the presence of blurred glass and white UI elements throughout the OS.
Here’s something new. It may look quite familiar, but I’m here today to let you know that a brand new theme, Long Shadow Love, otherwise known as LSL, is now available for free on Cydia. While Long Shadow Love may look a lot like Zanilla and Solstice, the theme aims to be a higher-quality version of those themes. What’s better? The theme is shipping with both iPhone and iPad versions readily available. Read more after the break. (more…)
It’s pretty easy to get selfish with your smartphone, especially if it’s brand new. When I first purchased my iPhone 5, I didn’t want to let anyone use it–ever. It really is unfortunate that I didn’t have CCFakeLowBattery on hand at that time, though, cause I didn’t have much excuse not to let people give my shiny new phone a try. (more…)
YouTube user StopLooking has uploaded a video that demonstrates how to make a GIF animated wallpaper for iPhone or iPod touch using a newer jailbreak tweak called AnimateAll. The process involves using a tool to access the iOS filesystem such as iExplorer or iFunBox, uploading the wallpapers and applying them with AnimateAll.
iOS 7 was introduced last September with support for parallax wallpapers, although Apple only includes a limited number of those on stock devices. If you give AnimateAll a spin, let us know how it works for you in the comments down under. Any good wallpaper recommendations?
If there’s any one feature that i’ve seen requested over and over agin since the early days of the iPhone–that Apple has yet to deliver on–it’s this one. Much like our Macs and PCs have a guest account for use by, well, guests, the iPhone should be able to provide access to certain apps (designated by the owner) without a passcode, right? We pass our phones around to play games, let other people use them to call their friends, and showcase our latest iPhoneography. Shouldn’t there be a way to let our friends and family have controlled access to our device? We’ve ben able to do this with different tweaks in the past, but now we can achieve it on iOS 7 by way of a new jailbreak weak called GuestMode. (more…)
The latest version of iOS, 7.0.5, was released recently to “correct network provisioning for some iPhone 5s and 5c models sold in China” (Apple). While iPhone 5s and 5c users outside of China have no need to update past 7.0.4, the update was pushed to some iPhone models sold in other Pacific countries as well as Europe. Those who accidentally updated–or live in China and therefore need the update–can now jailbreak their devices, thanks to an Evasi0n update released today. (more…)
