Do you still have an unlimited data plan? T-Mobile and Sprint may soon be moving away from them

T-Mobile-iPhone-5More and more companies are axing their unlimited data plans every day, and if you still have one, you’re likely barely holding onto it. While data consumption continues to increase steadily across the board, some carriers such as T-Mobile are trying to hold on to customers by promising to continue offering such plans. But that strategy isn’t working all too well, yet, and some of the larger carriers such as AT&T are holding strong even in light of their ridiculously expensive capped plans. But not everyone is so unfortunate.

Still, T-Mobile just announced price hikes for their unlimited data plans, and announced price cuts for their tiered plans.

Additionally, it seems as if Sprint may soon be ditching their unlimited plans as well, according to an article written by long-time wireless industry report Sascha Segan at PCMag:

“I’ve been hearing murmurs from Sprint insiders that the unlimited data gravy train may eventually have to end, though, if usage trends continue to arc upwards and if Sprint is at all successful in gaining customers,” Segan wrote.

Do you still have your unlimited data plan? If so, how much longer do you think you’ll be able to hold on to it? Which carrier are you on? How much are you paying for it? Let us know in the comments.
