Hulu Plus Opens to the Public

Hulu has finally made Plus open to the public, so potential customers no longer need an invitation to subscribe. It’s “only” $9.99 per month, so if you’re looking to cut cable altogether, services like Hulu and Netflix are a viable alternative for most TV enthusiasts. Both continue to offer an increasing number of shows, and work across most iDevices. (Although, Apple has yet to offer Hulu on the Apple TV, which is disappointing.)

Since we kicked off our preview of Hulu Plus, it’s been our mission to continually add more devices and content to the Hulu Plus service. Over the past few weeks, we’ve added several titles to the Hulu Plus service, including new fall shows like Raising Hope, No Ordinary Family, and The Event, and back seasons of hit shows including Monk, Psych, and Battlestar Galactica.

There is still no hint of a price reduction, but if Netflix continues to offer cheaper plans (with more content), Hulu may have no other choice.
