iPhone is top smartphone for affluent customers

iPhone 5S FrontThe NPD Group has released a new study that reveals the iPhone has the highest adoption rate among customers that earn $60,000 or more in annual income. That statistic is rather unsurprising, considering that the iPhone is one of the more expensive smartphones on the market…

South Korean rival Samsung is a leader at getting low- to mid-range smartphones in the hands of users that live in emerging countries, providing the company with its own leads in the under $30,000 and $30,000 – $60,000 income brackets. Those lower income levels represent 56 percent of the American smartphone sales market.
