Flextronics-assembled Macs are being made in Texas

Apple continues to grow its assembly and manufacturing base, and the latest burst of growth is in the US. The Mac Pro is entirely assembled in the US, and it seems as if other Macs are also being made in the Texas as well. This comes after Tim Cook, Apple CEO, stated in 2012 that the company would invest $100 million a year in expanding their US manufacturing operations. The US is the “third-largest hub,” trailing China and Japan.
