TaiG remotely disabled in Evasi0n until further notice

Taiji TaiGAccording to a recent tweet from iOS hacker pod2g, the evad3rs team of developers has decided to remotely disable default installation of TaiG in its Evasi0n7 jailbreak tool until further notice.

The evad3rs generated quite the controversy within the jailbreaking community for bundling TaiG into Evasi0n, as the Chinese software has been found to distribute pirated apps through its default repositories.

There have also been unconfirmed reports that TaiG is potentially malicious, sending private information back to the Chinese company that developed the software. In another tweet, however, pod2g claims that those allegations are simply not true. We’ll update this post as we learn more information, and recommend that all users exercise caution in choosing to install the iOS 7 jailbreak.
