Our favorite Cupertino company has updated their ‘Apple Store‘ application with a few new additions, most notably is the option to reserve a white iPhone 4. The device is still listed as “currently unavailable for order or in-store pickup” on Apple’s website, but it’s possible that this may soon change.
It’s been just over four months since the iPhone 4 was released, and users have been waiting patiently for the elusive white version to finally be released. Apparently, the parts manufactures are having issues matching the home button to the rest of the phone, and since Jobs is a perfectionist, he refuses to let anything less-than-perfect make its way out the door. (Except for one.)
This change could be meaningless, but hopefully Apple has figured out the issue, and will ship the white model before it looses its trendiness.
Update: Apple has removed the option.
