It seems like the big change in today’s software lineup is iWork, which hasn’t seen a major update since 2009. There is now complete file compatibility across iOS, the Mac, and the web, meaning that documents are easier than ever to share and edit across devices.
The update for iOS includes a complete visual overhaul, making the iWork apps fall in line with iOS 7′s visual language, as well as various new features. The Mac version was rewritten to allow for better compatibility with the other versions, and also includes various new features, including collaboration across versions. These updates pit iWork squarely against Office 365 and Google Docs — it’ll be interesting to see which solution wins out.
These updates are available today for free, with the purchase of a new iDevice or Mac.
