Apple has updated its iLife suite of apps — including iPhoto, iMovie, and GarageBand — for both the Mac and iOS. Both feature redesigns and additional features, though the iOS version adds features that have been in the Mac apps since the previous round of updates.
The Mac update includes various features that haven’t been seen before, though the more immediate changes are the visual tweaks. None of the apps appear to be flat, however — each maintains a fairly distinct visual identity that isn’t entirely different from previous versions. They do, however, appear to be more refined.
The iOS versions are similar: the iLife apps appear to adopt most of iOS 7′s visual cues, but also appear to maintain some of their skeumorphic roots.
This updated suite of apps will be available today for free on any new iOS device or Mac.
