All Things D is reporting that Hulu plans to cut the price of their subscription service in half, from $9.95 to $4.95. In its current form, Hulu Plus offers additional content, plus back episodes of many shows. Even though it costs nearly a Hamilton a month, Plus still has commercials, which makes it a no-go for many customers. Cutting the price in half will allow the service to compete with Netflix Instant Queue, and other, less pricey options.
If you’re a heavy TV watcher, then Hulu Plus may be a good option – especially at five bucks a month. The new Apple TV doesn’t support the Hulu Plus app (yet), but it is available on the iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch in beta form.
