While Apple only just released iOS 7.0.2 last Thursday, a report from BGR this morning suggests that there will be at least one more build of iOS 7 before the release of version 7.1. According to its sources, the site says that Apple has begun seeding the 7.0.3 software update to employees and partners for final testing.
According to our sources, Apple has seeded iOS 7.0.3 to employees and partners for final testing. We’re not sure exactly when the new software will be released to the public, but we believe it will be sometime next week. The build number of iOS 7.0.3 is 11B491.
MacRumors went on to corroborate this information as well this morning, posting a screenshot and sharing information saying that the site has been seeing a definite uptick in visits from devices running iOS 7.0.3 in the last week.
The site also notes, however, that iOS 7.0.3 being build number 11B491 would break naming convention, with Apple most often reserving “B” to resemble a more significant update such as iOS 7.1.
What could the update fix? Hopefully that dastardly iMessage bug.
