iPhone Touchscreen is 2.5 Times Faster Than Android Devices

iPhone 5 twoDean Takahashi of VentureBeat writes:

In its first TouchMarks benchmark test, the iPhone 5 responded to touches at an average time of 55 milliseconds, compared to 85 milliseconds for the iPhone 4. The closest Android device was the Samsung Galaxy S4 at 114 milliseconds.

Even the three-year-old iPhone 4 beats out most flagship Android devices in terms of touch latency. So while Android smartphones might be equipped with larger and larger displays, they aren’t necessarily getting better.
