Exactly two weeks after the 8 GB Nexus 4 model’s stock was burned through on Google Play, the 16 GB model is also gone.
That means that Google is no longer selling a true Nexus device. While the Google Play Editions of both the Galaxy S 4 and HTC One remain available, the inespensive, LG-made Nexus devices aren’t likely to be returning any time soon.
Both models were sold out in the United States after a $100 price drop made the Nexus 4 one of the most affordable smartphones on the market. Combined with its stock Android build and promise of being updated, the Nexus 4 will likely continue to be one of the best handsets for some time.
