Apple was expected to increase sales in emerging markets by aggressively pricing the iPhone 5C at between $300 to $400 unlocked, but that didn’t exactly happen. Instead, the off-contract iPhone 5C is only $100 less than the flagship iPhone 5S with $549 and $649 starting prices respectively.
When considering that the Nexus 4, a more-than-capable Android smartphone, is priced at just $199 unlocked, it most definitely feels like the iPhone is overpriced. There is more justification for the iPhone 5S, which features a fingerprint scanner and improved iSight camera, but the plastic iPhone 5c is a stretch.
Do you agree that the iPhone is too expensive?
