Today marks the second anniversary of Tim Cook taking over the top job of Apple, Inc. In his time as the CEO, Cook has kept Apple one of the most profitable and valuable corporations in the world.
He has, however, received a large amount of criticism from various publications. Cook’s leadership has so far been seen as a holding pattern: Apple has continued to release fantastic new updates to existing products, but there hasn’t been a major introduction since he took the helm.
That may change, and soon. First comes the release of iOS 7, which is a fairly radical departure from iOS as it has existed since 2007. The rumored low-cost iPhone will also mark a new product in a different category for Apple. Finally, there is the rumored iWatch. The iWatch may well be the first landmark release of post-Jobs Apple.
