Well-known iOS hacker Joshua Hill (p0sixninja) has been working on an exciting new project called OpenJailbreak, which iFans exclusively reported last week is an open source jailbreak repository for cross-collaborative exploiting efforts. And we’ve now got an update on how things are going so far.
The official OpenJailbreak website, which remains under construction, has now gone live. The website, based on the Redmine project management tool, contains various libraries for accessing or manipulating IPSW files, crash report files, HFS partition formats, DMG files and iOS DyldCache files.
Hill confirmed that he is still slowly adding repositories to the website while the theme is completed by graphic designer Thientam Bach (Surenix), and hopes to have the website ready to kick off for good within the next week. We’ll update you when we learn more.
